D1. Sentani-Wamena Baliem Valley

On the day your arrival in Wamena Airport our English Speaking guide and driver, they’ll pick you up and bring you to the Baliem Pilamo Hotel. Today before tour to the north, arrange your travel permit in Wamena Police office.

After report or obtain travel permit you can tour to the north village visit indigenous people in Jiwika village including a hundred years old mummy called Wimontok Mabel. You will see and know history when he alive.

The villagers pick you up and accept you by their language (wah wah wah). Wah wah wah is local formal welcome deal according the Dani societies.

After finish visit mummy village, one of next interesting you might to know is SALT WATER WELLS in hills rain forest. From Jiwika village you will start hiking tropical rain forest it’s just 2 hours.

You will watch beside this knows how dani societies make banana cultivation salt in Dani primitive ability.Then back to the Wamena.

Day 2: culture Tour Pig Festival With Dani People

After breakfast drive to Dani Traditional village for watch culture festival. This is very interesting designed for new tourists. You can learn Dani people how to warfare in traditional using traditional guns. Dani people fighting because of the lands, stilling lady pig etc.

Not only you can see tribal mock fighting but also you can see people singing traditional songs, make fire using by primitive skill and cooking sweet potatoes in the earth oven.

As a result here is a topic of the activity they are:

1. Mock tribal flight and sing songs

2. Traditional dances/traditional folks dances according the different histories

3. Fire light friction in traditional.

4. Kill a pig by bow and arrows.

5. Cooking sweet potatoes in earth oven.

Then back to the Wamena.

D3. The Hiking & Trekking Southern of Baliem Valley

Today is trekking day to the southern of baliem gorge visit mountain people and stay with them. After breakfast pack your back pack and jump our rent car drive to Sogokmo or Jetni.

From Sogokmo/Jetni you can start walking by your own foots and passes to Jetni River, Kurima to Klise. Klise is where you will accommodation in traditional grass roof huts.

At 3pm you will still hill hike Stunning Ibiroma views with other villages you will see when you are on the top.

D4. Klise-Kurima-Ugem

In the morning after breakfast move to another village called Ugem village. From the Klise walk down hill to Kurima and cross a suspension bridge continue to Wesangma to Ugem village.

D5. Klise-Kurima-Sogokmo-Wamena

In the morning after breakfast back to Wamena but you can still trekking to Sogokmo. Here is a right road you will walk from Klise. When you get ready, pack your back pack start walk down hill to Kurima and cross a suspension bridge in Kurima to Seima. Seima, Hulesi, Sogokmo. There is a second Baliem suspension bridge before arrival Sogokmo. A suspension bridge which is a small memorial to a Japanese tourist and his dani guide who drowned and get die. Then 45 minute walk to Sogokmo. Sogokmo by car to Wamena.

D6. Wamena to Jayapura

After breakfast short drive to Wamena Airport, you will leaving from Wamena Baliem Valley

Meeting the Papuans Good morning. Wishing to discover the population of Papua, I actively looked for a guide (recommended). All the agencies offered exorbitant prices. I finally found Onesius' contact. He offered me 3 days of trekking with discovery of the tribes. The price was still very high but much less than the agencies and this is certainly the price to pay to go to a place off the beaten track. As promised, Onesius (part of the Dani tribe) was waiting for us at the airport (me, my husband and my 11 year old son). For 3 days, he showed us extraordinary sites, we were able to rub shoulders with the population. He organized meals, accommodation, administrative documents... everything was perfect. Incredibal and anthentic 3 days trip First we made a 2 day trip to an authencical village up in the mountains. Beautiful landscapes and warm persons. We dinner together and we sleep in the gesthouse of the chief of the village. Last day we participate to a pig festival... Several occasions on the trip to buy authentic handcrafted souvenirs. Dream days in Baliem Valley with tribal people I had an excellent 3 days tour. Highlight was celebration day by Dani tribe. Mock fight, dance, traditional cooking/ feast just prepared for me(I am a solo traveler). It was like a dream to spend time with a real tribal people, experience their tradition in their village. About 30 Dani people dressed in traditional outfit welcomed me. Onesius is a honest and great guide. I was very happy about his program. I enjoyed the trekking in jungle mountain and in the valley with beautiful landscape and wild river view. Crossing hanging bridge was an interesting thrilling experience. He has good team - drivers, porter, they were friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend to book the trip with Onesius. He can accommodate your needs and wish, matter how small/ big your group is. I was alone, solo. And you can request short/ long tours as you wish, he can arrange the tour with plenty of option.

Perfect guide We came with Onesius for one day trip. We wanted to visit some local villages. Onesius arrenged everything - car, lunch, drink, villagers with tradicional clothes. We can make unlimited photos. Onesius bought some stuff for villagers, we didnt to have worry about anythink. As bonus we were invited to tradicional dinner with locals. Trekking and mock battle/pig feast Baliem Valley We spent an amazing 4 days with Onesius and his guides in October this year. On our first day we visited a local village, a short hike away from where we were based, for a mock battle and pig feast in a An amazing and very fun experience with much singing and dancing. The next 3 days were spent trekking through the Southern Baliem valley. We spent 2 nights in a traditional grass hut, in the beautiful village of Kilise. The hut was basic, but comfortable, with mattresses and pillow. All our food was carefully and meticulously prepared by Onesuis and his guides and was so abundant we could barely eat it all! On our first evening Onesius arranged for us to to visit the home of a local woman from a neighbouring village to experience the traditional baking of sweat potatoes using heated rocks and copious amounts of green leaves. A unique experience we shall not forget. In short Onesius is a kind, honest, caring and genuine man, who went out of his way to ensure that we were happy and well looked after at times. He is well known in the area, having grown up himself in a local Dani village, and we received a warm "Wah, wah, wah!" welcome everywhere we went. I thoroughly recommend Onesius as a trip organiser and guide. He is conscientious, reliable, well organised and considerate. He replied to all prior communication re arrangements through WhatsApp promptly. Finally, I would like to note that we initially arranged our trek with Onesuis 3 years ago and paid a deposit via Paypal. Our trip was then postponed due to the pandemic and Onesuis and I kept in touch and he honoured our previously arranged plans and deposit when we were finally able to make our trip. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Cannibals tribes...who are located in Papua..... didn't feel scray when meet them, but just feel it is really amazing that some people are still living in completely different life style nowadays.....
