You are warmly invited to experience the Baliem Valley Cultural Festival 2026, a spectacular celebration of indigenous heritage in Baliem Valley.

The festival will be from 6–8 August 2026 in Wusilimo Village, Wamena,  Jayawijaya Regency, Papua, Indonesia.

For three unforgettable days, visitors will witness one of the richest cultural celebrations in Papua. The festival features traditional performances by the indigenous tribes of the Baliem Valley, including the Dani Tribe, Lani Tribe, and representatives of the Yali Tribe. Each group travels from different districts to gather at the festival grounds and present their unique traditions before community leaders, government representatives, and audiences from around the world.

The performances are a vibrant display of identity and pride. Dancers appear in striking traditional attire, adorned with colorful body decorations, feathers, and tribal ornaments. The rhythmic movements, symbolic war reenactments, and ceremonial rituals reflect centuries of living culture passed down through generations.

The Baliem Valley Cultural Festival is more than an event—it is a living expression of unity, heritage, and the enduring spirit of Papua’s highland communities.

• Performance the Throw spears,
• Performance the Tribal War,
• Performance tribal Dance,
• Performance tradition music called PIKON a kind of mouth harp
• Performance the adolescent habitual Music Witawo
•  Game for the youth’s maturation called Sikoko and puradan,
• Traditional cooking with hot Rocks- barbecue and so more.
